Cape Fear Botanical Garden is a wonderful day trip. The ride up is beautiful if you take the NC 690 Vass route and with an hour drive time it makes a fun morning activity. The gardens are expertly laid out and a pleasure to walk through. There is a Children's Garden (which will soon be improved and offer more interactive play and learning) with a sand play area, tunnels, play house and plenty of room to run and explore. The garden has a plethora of plants, wildlife, trees, and flowers to keep explorers of all ages engaged. We enjoyed our visit to the Cape Fear Botanical Garden and will be keeping an eye on upcoming events and exhibits for future exploration.
